the place of yellow flowers
An urban design analysis of √ëu√±oa, a Chilean commune located in Santiago province. This was a group project completed while on exchange at the Universidad de Chile. √ëu√±oa one of the oldest areas in Santiago. Centered around Plaza √ëu√±oa, the area is home to Chile‚Äôs largest football stadium and Santiago‚Äôs only mosque. Strong road systems, including Irarr√°zaval Avenue run through √ëu√±oa, as do metro and bus services. √ëu√±oa’s proximity to the central city and plethora of local amenities has made it an attractive area to live. As a result, numerous high rise apartment buildings have begun to fill in the traditionally low-rise area.
